Rooted in the Greater Lima Area
I am from Lima, and my family's roots in the greater Lima area go back generations. That matters in a legal practice: the clients who walk through my door are neighbors, local businesses, farm families, and people I may see at church or the county fair. I treat their legal problems accordingly — with straight talk, careful work, and an understanding of how local decisions actually affect Ohio families, businesses, and communities.
Education and Path to Practice
I graduated from Grove City College in 2016 and earned my law degree at Ohio Northern University's Pettit College of Law in Ada — about twenty minutes from the office. During law school I clerked for two years at Huffman, Kelley & Brock, LLC, the downtown Lima firm where I now practice. By the time I was sworn in, I had already spent two years learning how the firm's clients and the local courts work.
A Broad, Practical Practice
My practice covers the legal matters that come up in the real lives of individuals, families, and small businesses: personal injury, car accidents, dog bites, real estate, landlord-tenant, estates and wills, probate, civil litigation, construction disputes, contract review, and business formation. In a community like Lima, that breadth is a feature: one attorney who knows your family, your business, and your property can see how the pieces fit together — and spot the problems that fall between specialties. Clients across Ohio can also start with the Serving Ohio overview.
Public Service: City Law Director, Wapakoneta
Since 2020, I have served as the City Law Director for Wapakoneta, advising the city on contracts, ordinances, litigation, and the day-to-day legal questions of municipal government. The role keeps me in the courtroom and at the negotiating table on behalf of the public — experience that benefits every private client I represent.
Away From the Office
I live in Wapakoneta with my wife, Brooke, and our children, and I attend church in Lima, Ohio. When I am not practicing law, you'll find me deer hunting, reading, or watching college football.
Working With Me
Clients work with me directly. I return calls, explain things in plain English, and give honest assessments — including when the best advice is not to hire a lawyer at all. If you have a legal question in Lima, Wapakoneta, or elsewhere in Ohio, reach out or call (419) 227-4752.
